Default please help me!

hi guys
im just wondering:
if i have everything setup so its like piano is channel 1, autobend is channel 2, strings channel 3 etc etc
how can i then make another song in cubase and use different settings eg piano is now channel 2 and channel 3 is now bass and the settings for my first song be saved so when i go in cubase it knows that channel 1 must be piano and then i can go to song 2 the virus knows to change the channels to different instruments.
hope this makes sense

basically im saying how can the virus what instruments to play on different songs. note: im not using patch names

thank you in advance

The way I do it is......I have my patch names that pop up in the little menu to the left of the screen, telling me the names of the patch I have for each MIDI channel from the Virus.

When my new song starts, regardless of what multi I have set up, it will play the sounds that I have selected from within the cubase patch names list

Is that the question??? Or are you just trying have a new multi patch per song.

Good luck!

hi guys thank you
what im trying to do (without patch names)
is to have a different multi setup in each song.
eg. song 1 has multi setup A
song 2 has multi setup B
song 3 has multi setup C
and so on
ie. cubase memorises what instrument should be on what channel

thank you kindly

Thats no prob....but you really should download the patch names .txt file and load up the MIDI instrument (Virus) in Cubase. This enables you to choose your patches fro within Cubase, and not even look at the virus

Basically, when you change songs you are working on, then change the multi patch on the virus accordingly. Ie 1 multi per project....

piece of cake.

Only problem is that you have to change the file every time you create or upload a new patch in the Virus This is why i don?t use it but make multi?s for every projekt instead...

What I mean is just having a different multi for each different project you are working on.

When you have set this up, using the patch names in cubase you can choose your 16 different singles without having to look at your Virus.
