Music in a 100 years
What will happen to music in a 100 years?
Will new exiting music devices be invented?
Will it become boring and hated by the people?
Post propositions here.

Juho would have pissed off enough musicians to create the mother of all backlashes against him. Trance will be the only music created by electronic artists. Also "real" musicians will be forced to play straight 4 beat rythms with layered detuned guitars, because playing anything else will give Juho's some joy.
So, Trance it is. Bring on those hyper-mega-superdooper-saws!

I think about this from time to time. Sometimes I gain insight when I listen to Vagelis's BladeRunner soundtrack......some of the tunes sound very futuristic and 1930's all at the same time. Pure genious. That soundtrack never dates or gets stale.....in my mind its the best representation of where music might be in 100 yrs time
I cannot see people still using synths and making the same elctronic muic to the same rules. I think one day....someone will invent a new standard....new scales....new chords.....ones which may sound strange but become acceptble to use. Its an interesting fact that chords and their progressions only sound 'pleasing' to us because its so ingrained in our brains to hear those harmonics. It is quite possible to use strange combinations of chords...and then over time for them to seem as normal as C majors.
What do you think....

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....
