Default Hartmann Neuron

There's a guy placed a readers advert on the SoundOnSound website offering to swap his Hartmann Neuron for a Virus TI.
I'm tempted, but I hear the Neuron is "completely hatstand" !!!

Now I come to think of it, the TI OS is hatstand too....

Look at it this way:
The nueron OS will never be updated (EVER) again.
The virus TI will probably be updated maybe 2-3 more times,Still remain buggy and then a TI mk2 will be anounced while the original TI will be taken off production

The nueron (hardware version) is rather stable as far as i know\read and its the ultimate tool for soundscape\ambient music.

I wouldnt trade the TI for it tho...

i disagree, i would trade my TI desktop for it, sell it for 3.5k USD, then buy a TI again and make a tidy profit

tru but the odds of FINDING a a neuron are just as good of the odds of selling it. that being said i might be tempted to just shell out the cash to buy a ti on ebay and sell it to him. i wonder how pos the neuron VS was before they went belly up. i might pick that up if it's cheaper

Threlly : *blush*

the neuron VS is not too stable from reviews i have read and contains a fair amount of bugs since the software was version 1.0.

you can still buy i in places, its selling for less then 350$ (originaly when company was alive it was around 900$)
you might be able to find it for less on 2nd hand market. i remember seeing a guy over at K-V-R forum trying to sell his copy+controler.

Aaah, confusion.
