Any guitarists on here?
Just got the latest XT upgrade for my Line 6 Guitar Port. Absolutely ace presets for clean sounds now.

I like to shred... occasionally pull out a face melter. Im using a 1980's American Fender LeadIII with a 1980's Roland JC-77 amp. A few Boss pedals and a Crybaby

So you're in the enviable position of being able to crank the amp and mic it to record then Jase? Boss pedals are very solid. I've got a few here I've had for years. Got a crybaby too, but it's so noisy. Would love to get a vox, but.. Next matsa acquisition:

Got EMG's on me bass. Top class. This old Tele needs to be SILENCED. Bit like its owner..

The EMG's are lush... I had a couple many moons ago but I never got to the stage of actually putting them in my guitar (a Gibson Explorer at the time)

I absolutely adore my Ibanez RG2550EX.
I bought the original RG550 in 1990.
The RG2550EX is all of the original, just a little bit better!
I play through a Line 6 Flex Tone II.
Love it!

I've been playing for about 13 years, but the last 6 months (since my band split up) I've been so preoccupied with messing about with synths and Cubase that I've hardly played. Playing guitar in the house just doesn't compare with cranking up a JCM800 head through a 4x12 cab and feeling your trousers flapping against your legs (if you're wearing any!)
That said, I've got a Pod 2.0 and I'd love to upgrade to an XT - got more important things to splash the cash on first though!

I dont really play guitar but i do a bit of low budget recording latly.
Signal chain is usualy:
Jackson or Les paul (nice...) ->verious pedals -> Software amp emulation -> reamped into a fender reissue (not sure what model ? 50 Vat i think) or into a marshall valvestate>Sm57-> Motu stock preamp.
been thinking of geting some cheap ribbon mic ,Just saw an ad on Remix mag online about this new CAD fathead ribbon for around 150$new,
might grab one.
Anyhow, not really an alternative to a massive JMC or Recto rig but i get some useble guitar sounds

I have a cheap and cheerful yamaha pacifica. The thing never goes out of tune, even after loads of hammering! Which is more than can be said about my mate's vintage les paul, which goes out of tune just about every track.
