What computer system do you use...
Some interesting discussions in here recently prompted me to post this poll... let's see who uses what...
Are you a Mac person, a Bill person, or a Duo person ...?

Should vote 3 times, 2 for XP and one for Vista 64.
Should be another slot that says fucking hate computers!

I used Cubase on PC for many years. However, 2.5 years ago I had to switch to a mac because I wanted to use Logic. I am happy with my decision. Everything has worked very well for me with mac. When i had a PC, I sometimes had to switch the motherboard and soundcard several times to get everything working.
The problem with macs is that you have basically two choices:
1) To pay less and buy a low end mac with poor expandability (mac mini) or
2) To pay much and buy a high end mac with good expandability (mac pro)
There is a model between these and it's the iMac but it also has poor expandability and the display is integrated. I wouldn't buy a notebook computer anyway because they will break down much sooner than desktop computers. So basically the only choice for serious music production on mac is the mac pro right now (if you want to buy a new mac) and it really is a good choice. It's very quiet and powerful and the way how the computer is designed is very good. You really get what you pay for. In fact the mac prices have come down and the mac pro really competes very well with other pc manufacturers with computers which use the same hardware (Dell for example) and you can be 100% sure when you get the mac that it works with your audio applications and other hardware (anyway still waiting for full powercore intel support). About 90% of plugins and sequencer softwares are already intel mac compatible, so it isn't a problem anymore.
I am still using a dual G5 PPC mac which still works very well. I am planning to upgrade maybe in 2008.

Mac user here too... and lets not let this turn into another pointless Mac Vs PC debate. Im genuinely interested to see what most people are using.
I own 2 Macs, a PPC G5 desktop and a Intel Macbook.

Who voted Linux?
And what exactly do you use Linux for? Do you not find problems with drivers etc...

very good question Drammy. I have always been interested in using open source for my daw, but have been concerned with patches, fixes and drivers for my audio related equipment.
