Default Virus TI - Can you power on/off remotely?

If this isnt already a feature in VC then maybe it should be. I have probably mentioned this before, and its something that concerns me (maybe im alone on this). Please correct me if im wrong, but as I understand it you stick the power lead in the back of the synth then hold down two buttons which turns the unit on. Fine, but what happens further down the line if one or both buttons fail? How would you be able to turn the synth on? Is it right that such a great synth relies upon such a cheap compenent that is destined to fail?

My worry is that the two buttons used to power on/off the synth also happen to be the two most heavily used buttons on the synth. I've had tons of old gear and the first thing that starts to go wrong are the buttons.

Can anyone confirm that you can remotely boot up your virus via VC. This feature alone would be *VERY* welcome and would overcome some reservations that I have....

....and yes.....I have just paid for another TI. As a side note.....Access...whats up with your distribution?!! There seems to be a hold up since announcing/producing the Snow.

Thanks all

DS

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....
