Default Saving patch without overwriting another.

Okay, hi all, newbie here.

I just bought a second hand Virus C desktop and I've been making my way through the manual WHICH IS ATROCIOUS. I'm surprised no one hasn't written their own version. It's amazing how they don't explain how to do simple stuff like how to exit the edit menu after just telling you to do so. They just casually move on to the next topic while my edit button is still blinking at me all crazy. I can already tell it's going to take me like 2 weeks to make it through this manual.

Anyway, I was going through the manual and was actually able to create a pretty interesting patch after playing around for a bit. Now, here comes the problem: It appears that I can't save it unless I overwrite one of the already existent patches in Bank A or B. I really didn't want to do so, so, I downloaded the SoundDiver Version 6.6r1 Mac OSX [bundle version] .

Well, thus far I've been able to request all of the patches from my C and have them loaded into Sounddiver. I figured I could just save all the patches in the rewritable banks (A and B) on my computer, empty out those banks and just start creating my own. No such luck. The save options are all not available.

Does this version of Sounddiver not allow saving?

Please let me know. Until then, will I have to leave my Virus on in order no to lose the patch or will it still be available even after a restart?

Also, if there is a user created version of the Access manual that is more palatable, please let me know.

Thanks.

P.S. I was hoping I could try out the freeloader program in the post "
!!Heres how to update patches or reset virus.!!", but, the link for the Mac version is expired. I don't know if it has the same capabilities as Sounddiver, but, if it's more user friendly, I'd love a link if anyone has a copy.
