Crackles & pops when using Logic with my Snow

I have a rather frustrating issue, I am using Logic with my Snow (TI via USB) and it works fine (sounds clean) when I am just playing it live into the instrument channel, but if I hit record and play a part I hear odd crackles and pops from the Snow. When I play the part back the crackles and pops are there, it's almost like the midi record is causing them because if I loop the part the crackles can appear in slightly different places. Like I said it only seems to be when the Snow is receiving midi from Logic, but Midi from the keyboard is clean. It's a frustrating problem because my recordings are unreliable, I practice a part live and it sounds great, then I record it in Logic and get crackles and pops - this renders many of the parts I am recording unusable.
