how to move cursor without changing values

it's kinda annoying having to change the value of the parameter i want to use to get the cursor (shown over 'Temp' in the pic) to jump to that parameter.
i like to use the value- and value+ buttons to make fine adjustments but to jump to the parameter to the right/left i have to move the corresponding knob which in turn alters the parameter significantly.

is there any way to move the cursor right/left without twiddling the knob and therefore drastically changing the value of that knob?

ps: i'm aware of the various knob modes
