sadly no. when i get back up to uni im gonna call m-audio again. if i do get a solution ill be sure to post it here - i fail to believe im the only person who gets this problem. although ive posted this message in several forums (including the tranceaddict production forum) and nobody seems to have heard of it.

That sucks Bro; sorry to hear it!

Can you exchange the M-Audio device?

If you can't you might want to send it M-Audio directly and explain the problem in a written letter, include a check for $20 or $30 bucks to cover some part of it and beg for a new device.

I did that with Cisco with a defective Linksys Wireless Router and they sent me a new one. I didn't have the receipt or anything. The worse they can do is return your check and say no, then you forward that information to the better Business bureau and post it on every forum you can to let others know what a bunch of sheisters they are.

There is still one more way to get a new interface if both of these options fail.

Buy a new one at a local large retailer, swap the old one for the new, and then return it with all the packaging for a full refund to the store.

I've had to do this too with a few devices...
