^ nope thats correct....you can use analog outs with the USB. Lets just hope there's no timing/compatability issues with that. I'd be suprised if some people didnt run into problems with that combo...

Haven`t mark mentioned that at least 3 (and even 4) stereo streams are availble with the TI USB1? I distinctly recall him saying that.

yep thats right midi.
1x stereo for the host seq. master out mix..
3x stereo for bussing...

Yes but it depends on the sample/bit rate. I believe 3/4 stereos is at 44/16

well, prhapse a good compromise would be 44.1\16 for real time streaming, with an added option to bounce the audio @ 96\24. that would be good enough for me.
