Hi there, sounds like a replacement LCD is needed.

Contact Access: http://www.access-music.de/emailsupportform.php4

Or these guys (they are the hardware branch to Access-Music): http://www.synthesizerservice.de/index.php?lang=en

Since Google ends up in this thread regarding this problem and Vegas123 doesn't answer his messages, and no one did actually posted the solution, I had to remove the flicking (and dying) display board to get the part number myself...

The display board is sold as a whole piece :

Manuf: EVERBOUQUET
Part No. : MC16021E8-SBLW (For Virus Indigo 2 (Blue))

I made an order from Element14 / Newark (http://canada.newark.com/)

Newark Part Number:
97K4628

$28.08.

Hope this can help others.

Thanks ever so much for posting, Psych. A very helpful bit of info there!

Have a good Christmas!

Default LCD Replacement Report

Thanks to the link above, I took receipt of my replacement LCD screen today. It had to ship from England. It took about a week. In order to replace it, you have to transfer the ribbon cable from the old display to the new one. It's not easy and requires a lot of careful unsoldering and soldering. Definitely the master class if you're not used to doing that. After, the new screen is bright, the contrast settings are useful and the whole synth is much more useful.
