Just when I thought we'd finished talking about monkeys, 303 steps up for the challenge.
I'd go for Mr. Bananas advice here aswell.

I have another question.
I have a emu e6400 and I will go a AKAI S5000/6000.can I use them to read some vintage analog sound, and cannect a sherman filterbank behind them?In this way can I become some wonderfull sound?
Have you used the filters in the Emu yet? The Emu filters are really nice indeed.

Are you changing from Emu to Akai? Or are you just buying a second sampler?

As far as you asking about "vintage analogue sound", I'm really not sure of what you mean by this.

teacher Hollowcell
I will buy a akai s6000 or s5000 or Z8.
because some good akai sampel file change to emu format after, have some problem.I think emu's filter is good, but the filterband is better
I think all software sampler can not beats the e6400 and S5000/6000.
besides symphony's sound, the software have nomore goodsound.
vintage....
My meaning is...hmh....
for Example .I use EMU to read a JP8'sound or juno 106's sound or moog.
I think the filterbank that after EMU can help me make these sounds like real JP,JUNO,MOOG.not digital sound.

Has anyone used a G2 Engine? I like the idea of modular synthesis but I'm frightened 8O Would it be too much hassle using the Modular editor alongside, say, Cubase and assigning parameters to MIDI controllers when you've got beats moving on the fly? Is the G2 something that has immediacy of use or does it involve a lot of noodling over for hours on end?

Will do Nordlead, cheers. I'm attracted to the idea of modular synthesis, it's ridiculously deep but I need it to fit in with the way I work. I create beats and grooves in Cubase and then work the synths around that so everything needs to run together.
