I guess they knew this all along, but didnt think they should keep the people waiting any longer, just because of the ARP issues..
I never use ARPs, so it wouldnt matter to me. In any case, couldnt you just write your own ARPs in a MIDI part????

I think that they knew the majority, even all of the issues. I also think that this was one of the reasons why they delayed the release. If they delayed it for over than a year and it's still that buggy, I start to think that some of the issues will never be fixed...

its also easy to walk but people drive in cars now.
sometimes you come across something you would never do yourself
using someone elses programming. Its like a collaboration.
its easy to program your own arps manually but not half as inspiring.
this synth needs for its arp to work.

Seems like just laziness. Just makes it easy for people to crank out some shit trance
Like using all presets for your songs, never making your own patches. Not very inspiring I reckon.

Yes - why would you want this on if you are using the V Control?
|
Because it makes no sense for MIDI to goto to Cubase then back to the TI when Im just fiddling (extra pointless latency). Even when recording I dont see the point of this - I dont work this way with any other synths and the TI isnt a soft synth running on the computer, so the only reason I send it to the computer is to record it
If there is a good reason why I would want to do this - then please tell

Of course.

When I can usefully plug a USB cable into an analog patch bay (to patch in outboard fx) - Ill reconsider - you can get some quite wacky sounds plumbing a TI via a V-Synth (to get at the extra filter types and COSM fx)

Have you tried setting Config>MIDI>out hidden = ON?
|
When I dont have the TI connected via USB - midi out is fine - I will have another look for a setting - maybe it too gets changes when Virus control is active.

If you don't want latency, just set the Main Outs to Out 1 L+R. It takes about 2 seconds!

Even when using them as a controller keyboard?
The point of turning Local Control=Off, when going through your host software, is so that you don't trigger notes twice. If Local is On, then you play it internally first of all, and then very soon afterwards, the midi signal will come back in and play it again. This not only doubles the number of voices you trigger, but makes them phase as well.

But that is the whole point of the Virus Control - so that it is like a softsynth. And besides, you don't want Local=On when you record it either.
