Ive been listening to its demos a bit over last few days. I think its starting to grow on me a little - certaionly alot of flexibility in there.

I use to hate the Nord Lead sounds as well - but that is seriously growing on me as well to the point where I keep trying to stretch the TI to sound alot brighter

Shame about the Radias price...

And it may have gotten a little more interesting.
Hmm, wonder if you can expand the memory to make space for more recording??

Check out the new full video on SonicState.

Gets more interesting - I did like that PCM sound he played

Actually - for Korg, theres alot to like about the Radias - I usually hate Korg stuff

$1699/$1799 - Probably translate to ?1499/?1599 in the UK - Ugh - expensive.

I had a look at the screen shots that someone posted of the editors - I get the feeling there a quite a bit misisng from them that you can do on the hardware.

The Radias certainly is very interesting. The analogue modelling comes from the high-definition Oasys AL-1 module, which is meant to be free from aliasing in the upper reg's.

What's also cool is the Radias can store and use formant/vox samples, I think I remember reading as much as 16 x sets of 7.5 second samples, which can be manipulated, vocoded, etc. Wonder if you can record via line-in, using normal samples? ie. not formant?

I think Jerry at KorgUSA said the OS can be updated via USB so the possibility of Korg upgrading/tweaking the OS is there.

Yup I'mn looking forward to hearing/reading about the formant record more. It depends on the formant quality to how well normal samples wil translate. If the memory is expandable then it may be a very cool little box indeed.

But....

Pretty damn pricey.

New pic:

(pic found by Francois on the www.KorgForums.com )

Incidently there's a forum section on the Radias.

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpB...forum.php?f=45

The Korg bigwigs post on those forums too.

Jerry Kovarsky (Korg USA) say they'll release some more screenshots soon.
