People who want softsynths should download them from kvr....ooops I mean buy them from Arturia and the like. Hardware synths should remain hardware.....hindsight is a wonderful thing....but Access are clearly struggling with this TI concept. All credit to them for trying to bring it to the market....but if I were them....ditch it....refund those who bought the Ti for the integration aspect...and diversify a bit. Apparently the Virus filters are classic and most people love them....then why the hell hasnt Access made a filter rack for under $500 yet? Come on.....get your priorities right....

My view of integration is I want it in three places *only* at this time:

1. Mixer/DAW controller/audio interface - I love the way the 01x+i88x combo works (despite its quirks).

2. MIDI interface integration - design them for use with DAWs (ie midi timestamp scheduling support, act as hardware mtc/mmc distributors rather than requiring a DAW to send the clocks to everything.

3. DAW plugin panels (And I mean proper integrated two way panels like VC plugin - not one way device panels as per Cubase panels) - ie all the excellent patch editing management functionality of VC, but working via USB MIDI (and/or physical MIDI) and most importantly WITHOUT disabling the hardware midi ports (Yamaha do this as well with the ES rack - so it aint just Access).

I truly do not want in-synth audio integration (my sound card does this very well thanks) - maybe fine with one synth - I cant imagin it would be fine with 6 synths.

Actually I'll reprase that - I dont mind it (because I'm sure that others benefit from it greatly), but I dont want to *have* to use it, and certainly not at the expense of other hardware synth features; for eg lack of functioning midi ports while VC is active, loosing the internal audio aux bus functionality of the C. Nor do I want to have to make the choice between software integration and access to good editing tools and hardware integration via good old midi and audio, but without the tools.

I completely agree with you. Its also a concern I have about the audio Interface I use - actually - anything with a essential proprietary usb or firewire interface on it.

(By proprietary, I mean one that need special drivers rather than windows/mac built in stanard drivers).

im working ALMOST flawlessly in Sonar 5.1 --- for the most part, no stuck notes, etc. usb connection and 1/4" audio cable connected

reading a review (remix mag), i wonder if the hanging notes thing is a problem in the "true dynamic patch" allocation, since it would directly affect the way notes are dealt with?

of course, remix also says that theres 512mb of ram in there. is that even possible?
