OK it's time to let the cat out the bag...
Jase was right, I bought myself a V-synth XT and I bloody love the thing - don't know why I waited so long now that I have it.
I just played around recording waves straight into the analogue ins yesterday (as I don't have a USB cable yet) and I got the results you hear there. To give you an idea about how I made those sounds - most of the pads are actually siren sounds, the very last sound you hear (bass sound) is actually a loop from a Chili-Pepper song, but I just stretched the first note to be a playable bass, and the other bass sounds were very simple tones taken from other gear in the room. I can't imagine how good things are gunna get with once I start processing things before I send them to the V-Synth - then processing the sounds after I have V-synthed them too.
What a FUN machine!!
P.S. Haven't really touched the VA part of it yet, but it does seem pretty weak on first impressions.
P.P.S. The D50 sounds well......like a D50.
P.P.P.S. Haven't tried the Vocal designer thing yet.

Thanks 303.
How long has it been since I said I wanted one?! After the first few hours with it at home I realized I had waited too long. I'm gunna get serious about preparing/designing sounds for it over the next few weeks - can't wait!!

Congrats indeed - its like you've had another kid. Especially as you've been going on about one for well longer than the initial announcement of the TI...
Wow.

I'll say! After spending a good bit of time with it yesterday it kept me awake just thinking of all the things I could do with it - at least it wasn't screaming for food or attention like the other child here.

Hehe. Me and Ausa seems to be really lucky with Nova. She loves to sit next to me and watch me play around with Reason. She is really fantastic
And still.. I am very jelous of you, I want an V-synth aswell (and i've wanted one since i first saw it. It looks so great esp. if you got other fun gear to sample)

'kin A, Hollow.
Every synth manufacturer should take a leaf out of the V-Synth book, imo.

HC,
Good work. I just got done getting a few modules myself. Been heading back the hardware route myself. I am finding it way more productive without all the distractions!

Heh - thats cheating
I must admit - from knowing that you liked the v-synth did cross my mind, but then was distracted by your samples, so assumed it was a modern VA with a bit extra thrown in.
Congrats - its a great synth and an seemingly endless journey into sonic abuse
