For a bread and butter ROMpler it would be great.
I just do so much with my PC/sequencer that I don't know if a workstation would be beneficial or if it would totally f$*k up my workflow. It would be nice to have it as a means to have full capability without a PC/audio interface. My ultimate synth like this would be this new Motif but with the ability to play Roland's SRX boards. Yamaha's expansion boards have sucked for a long time.

Hmm, looks interesting. Anyway, I don't need a workstation either but I've been looking at the yamaha s90 es keyboard which looks gorgeous. In fact I played the older S90 about 2 years ago and the keyboard feels amazing and I loved the piano sound. The new S90 ES has even better piano. I've also heard some really great pad sounds from the S90 ES. Anyway, I would also like to have the sounds from Korg Triton extreme and roland romplers.
 A good thing about the s90 es is that it doesn't have a sequencer or sampler like motif workstations but it's just a high quality keyboard with motif sound engine + the good piano sound and it's cheaper than motif 88 key version. Last edited by F5D : 07.01.2007 at 10:41 AM.
