Hi!
I mostly use the VM200 as a Midicontroller, because of the Midi-Motorfaders...
The EQs are great, but forgett about the FX:
First they don?t sound as good as they say in prospect (my Alesis Microverb sounds better...)
second both of the FX-processors broke down - after 2 years of little use they only produce digital noise now!!!!
The Hardware is very good and stable, it has lot?s of connections like S/Pdif in/out, adat in/out, 8 x XLR, Aux-outs etc.
You can send the Main-Out S/Pdif from one VM to the S/Pdif - In of the other... so it?s "pseudo-hook" them

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I *am* the most carefull man if it?s coming on drinks in my studio...!
None of my friends likes to have a drink when sitting in the studioroom, because of me saying every 5 seconds:
"watch out with your coke! If you?ll drop it, then I will X$?X(&X?$X&X$?X you!!!"

Absolutely love it!!!!
ive spent almost 7 hours on it today!!! programing/routing and re-routing...basicly putting it through the ringer!!
i ask everyone this....who has sent a wicked nordlead sound (notch filtered), into the virus and routed that signal thru the lfo-ed effected filters of the virus?
if you havent.....try it!!!!

i never actually thought of trying that..
is it possible to run the nord through the virus using it's effects as well as using patches from the virus at the same time?
or does it have to be set to an input patch with no synth preset set?

Yep, its possible alright....i wrote this down on another thread...this is exactly what i did...hold on, ill just copy it from that thread...

at the same time as this was happening...i routed another virus part (using a virus sound on different outputs, so i wouldnt create a loop) into the virus inputs too.....this sound was effected by the same lfos and filters as the nord sound......
it was like merging one virus sound and a nord sound (notchfiltered) together....but so they would sound as one...routing them both thru the same filters on the virus (lfoed) gave them a playable collective sound....
|
u can also route signals interenaly too in the virus...but i havnet got round to trying that yet...(ive only had the thing 3 days)....
i did it in multi-single mode....1st part-virus synth sound going out on outputs 2 and 3.....the second part-(routed inputed signal) , going out on output 1 and 2....then i routed the 1st part of the virus and the nord together into the inputs...creating one signal.....
man thats difficult to explain in writing....long thread too.....
now back to the whats your studio look like thread!
