You sure did there MS.

Although that demo does show an unexpected side to the Andomeda, Tit-fucking didn't spring to mind with me. Hope I'm normal! Hehehe.

Nice demo F5D. Specially liked the sound at about 2min40 or so.

Were the delay and verb onboard by any chance?

Great that you liked it! I decided to do a demo because everybody is raving about the TI and hypersaw so much that they don't see the rest of the world anymore.

Madstation's comments were great!

The effects are about: sony r3 eq, logic stereo delay, powercore reverbs, logic compressor, master x3.

The andromeda may sound a little boring if you try one in a music store because the presets are not very interesting at least if you like trance or something like that but it's a great synth if you have time and will to program your own sounds. I've spent many days listening to my favourite trance tracks and replicating the most interesting sounds and when you get the right enlevope and modulation settings, you always get a couple of more sounds just by changing the oscillator waveforms etc. And if the waveform is ok with modulations, you can do a bass, lead, pad, strings and some others just by playing with the envelopes, as you know.

I guess, most of the andro users do minimal electro and some other weird music, ambient etc. but I want to use it for trance. Am I the first one?

btw, Hollowcell, do you have an A6 too? I remember somebody else on this board also has one...

Nope not me. No money for big gear spending here.

I made some little changes to the demo, replaced 2 sections with well known melodies and removed some boring parts. The file size is now 17.5MB but the file name and link are the same. In case you're interested...

F5D: Just listened to the updated version

Great sounds in there.
And also the Powercore reverb sounds really awesome!

Your turn will come Yoda!

The problem is that the Mother doesn't let the money be spent on Dad stuff - the kid is happy wearing the same cloths everyday, not wearing nappys, playing with a toilet roll instead of real toys. It's just the Mum doesn't like these things.

Still though, a new computer is coming - also bought and buying some new outboard and I think I'm wearing her down on the V-synth idea.

Back to the Andromeda...

Might just go and look around the web to see what they are selling for now.

Wow, thanks F5D,

after hearing that demo I am seriously considering buying an A6 instead of the TI!

DS,

Digital Village are doing them cheaper than the TI now as well!

I'd actually be saving money and getting a synth that works!

Blimey, yes, the Andromeda appears to sound a lot brighter than the Virus.

Nice one.

How did you program the sound for Corsten's Sublime? That patch is fantastic.
