The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

[quote="ekimeno"]Hi - first post here, so greetings to everyone!

-snip-
v1.02 - Still the same CPU overhead, but now, while playing the song, if I change a patch while DP is playing, DP crashes every time. Now can hardly do anything without DP crashing on me.

Despite these niggles, the Polar sounds amazing - definitely in on a new level over the Virus KC. BTW - I have used several normal VI plugins and up to 20 audio tracks at the same sample rate in DP and never get a CPU overhead of more than 50%. Similarly my Nord G2 never gives me any problems with this either. In fact DP has been the most stable DAW I've used - this is the first time I've experienced so many crashes.
-snip-
/quote]

if you don't mind, please send me the DP project file so we can verify the CPU load in our test lab. please send it to ms[AT]access-music.de

thanks, marc

bah thanks ekimeno for hijacking my thread! haha...welcome...

Ben: I updated to the revised 1.0.2 and exported a audio mixdown in realtime with no garble. 1.0.1 kept dropping audio.

marc: so whats the Virus USB AISO driver for? It shows sound levels when active, but is not routing correctly.

here's my money shots hehe. I didn't like the software install, it actually took awhile and the instructions weren't clear. It wasnt able to find the USB Midi drivers on the first installation, and it didn't locate them until I rebooted and restarted the installation process. 8O At the moment, I'm only gonna be using the USB connection as a software/firmware updater until it becomes more stable.
