Default Has anyone ever made a comprehensive tutorial for how to use the vococer?

Hello infekted,
This is my debut here. I've read this forum and thank you guys for your time and questions and efforts. This has been a terrific resource with my new Virus A and you've helped a lot.

I'm writing on an old topic - The Virus A Vocoder

I've read all I can find on the vocoder subject and I've learned:
a. it isn't considered to be very good - a micro korg does a better job of making a robot voice
b. it's difficult and confusing to get working
c. it's still essentially undocumented

I have a Virus A, and I have a pre amped mic arriving into the inputs L+R of the Virus.

I can hear the voice. I can set the Virus to play the speaking when keys are depressed (dynamic,) or to voice all the time (static) or to use noise instead (noise) and it's coming through the effects, and the filter seems to do a little something, but it does not seem to be affected by the pitch of the notes (as one might expect with a typical vocoder.)

Has anyone ever documented the Virus Vococder from start (selecting a string or polysynth patch) to end (vocoding a voice with this patch)?

I'd love to at least try, even if it isn't very good, but after a few hours struggling with this I am lost and a little frustrated.

I think, since I couldn't find it anywhere, it would be a great resource for many people to document this from A to Z, and I'd be glad to do it if I could get past step D or E. Ha!

Help?
