Hi

Well yes I did have the Nord 3 for a time and it is very different to the Virus KC. The unison on the N3 allows you to make GREAT synth strings and pads........ better strings than than the Virus....but the bass on the N3 sucked. The Nord's unison acts lacks on-board chorus. FM implimentation is very good....far superior to the Virus'

However...I have since let the N3 go b'cos the Virus sounds alot warmer and more authentic. I really disliked the osc zipping in the N3. The N3 had a noticeble transparent bottom end which I disliked also. The N3 really exceled at programmable FM, strings, pads and leads. The key action was really shit.....and im not a fan of racks lol.

The unison on the Virus (KC) is fine as far as im concerned and I get great results. The Virus is a real all-rounder of a synth and I just felt that the N3 was less so. Ideally u should get both synths.

Do u want more specific info?

DS
