Question Max Delay?

I've fooled around a bit with the new Tape Delay in OS 3.0b on my Snow... nice. However, I'm finding the maximum delay to still be a bit short for my needs. Despite variations in settings, I can't seem to get more than the 693.3ms delay length. Even using a clocked tape delay at a slower BPM there is a (s)lower limit (or maximum delay length).

I'm not looking for an all out loop pedal functionality, just longer delay times. I've been experimenting with some Fripp-esque "sound scaping" and would love to do more of this internally with the Snow's delay rather than my EHX 2880.

It seems to me that the theoretical delay length it should be limited only by the size of a memory/buffer that stores the audio, right? So perhaps this is a hardware limit on the delay length that we'll never see change. Anyone with some better understanding of the hardware's guts have any ideas on this?

Or can we hope for a longer delay length as a possibility from a future software update?

20 seconds would be great, but I'll settle for 2.

Blair

P.S. Big thanks to Access for continuing the tradition of free OS updates with great new features!

Per Access support, the maximum delay time is in fact a hardware limitation.
