Default What about the Ozone plugin from iZotope? (or another)

Is there someone who use this plugin. I want to get started with mastering my songs, but because a hardware solution is quite expensive, maybe I should start with software plugins. Later, when I've more experience I can go for a hardware finalizer, compressor, limiter, etc...

I've search for some VST plugins that allows me to create 'good' mixes. So, I've encountered the Ozone plugin from iZotope. It's quite cheap (? 250) but is it worth the money or should I buy a better (and more expensive?) plugin.

I use TC Works spark XL, two track audio editor, which comes with some pretty cool mastering plugs....

T-Racks do this one.....it's like a vintage tube emulator. Pretty cool I hear. Ummm......other than those, I think most will probably be very similar, unless you get a dedicated DSP FX processor (UAD-1 or Powercore).

These plug ins will not allow you to make "good" mixes.....thats up to you. What they will do is boost (compress) your tracks so they are closer to 0dBFS, and give them a bit of a polish. Maybe go for a plug-in that gives you multi-band compression???

I've said it once and I'll say it again, if you want to master your mixes, send them to a mastering engineer, cos software wont make you one!

Cheers,

Jason
