Default Virus C - Loud click near delay time 0

I've noticed what is likely a software bug (running OS 6.5) on a Virus C. When I'm applying delay to a patch, turning the "Delay/Rev time" knob towards 0, I hear a loud clicking sound (quite unpleasant). Has anyone seen this before? Any solutions?

One thing I've noticed is that this only happens when a MIDI "play" event has been sent from an external device into the Virus. So for example, I'm using an Octatrack, set the Octatrack to send MIDI transport events, and press play. Even with nothing sequenced, playing notes and cranking the delay time down this click will come out. Press stop on the sequencer, and playing notes and doing the same thing there will be no click. So based on this I can probably work around it in my setup but it is less than ideal.
