Default Virus TI-More DSP or wot?

Harmony Central reports

'The power and performance of the synth engine havd been taken to new extremes, thanks to a newly optimized core.'

So what the hell is that supposed to mean? The code was optimized with existing DSP from the K series where such optimizations impact on sound quality as a trade off for higher polyphony like softsyths (more is better than quality nowdays right??)

or something else?

Oh yeah and another quote

'to create gritty lo-fi textures'

Really, with a machine equip'd with 192k/24 bit outs...bark

wot are these guys pulling?

Virus TI uses dual-core DSP for more efficient processing, as opposed to a single core chip for the previous incarnations.

The lofi gritty textures are said to come from the new wavetable elements.

err, i think we never had a K series, that was somebody else

the Ti has two DSPs instead of one and each is faster than the ones we had to our disposal in previous models.

as for the gritty sound, don't mistake lofi to be something that necessarily does cost less calculating power

best, marc
