Default beating?

I am running the most basic of patches... a single osc sine wave with no modulators or anything... no detuning anywhere... but it's beating in and out as if it were running two slightly detuned oscillators!

what's the deal?

I'm using a virus ti snow with DP 5. anyone have any problems with this combo?
