My favourite is Karhu.
Karhu's too sweet. Tastes like shit. Unless you're already drunk. But as I said, all Finnish beer is piss poor.

If you think Karhu III is sweet then you probably love Karhu IVA. That has to be the sweetest beer on the planet. I believe they add honey in it.

Olvi IVA is ok on the stronger versions, although Olvi is considered Finnish Budweiser as the III version tastes like mineral water.

Nah. It's not poor. It's just too middle class for demanding for-taste drinkers, so I wouldn't recommend Finnish beers for beer drinkers who seek luxury taste experience. Afterall the most important ingredient in beer for Finns is the alcohol. Hoho. Have you tasted any of the Finnish small brewery beers?

But what about the worst beer you have ever tasted? For me it has to be the excuse that is sold in bottles in Lidl. Easily the cheapest beer around and you can taste why. It's not tasteless like other cheap beers - It's much like the opposite. It tastes like the end of the world.

Juho. I had some great beer in the Kappeli on the Esplanade in Hki a few years ago. They had their own micro brewery back then. Dunno if they still do it. And one of my students' grandmothers made some wicked sahti, which I was delighted to be given a bottle of. I actually do like Finnish beer, but not kolmas. Has to be a IV. It's so ridiculous that you can't buy it in the shop. This country is a great place, but at times maddening.

It´s almost done but i haven´t worked on it for a while becuase i moved to a new apartment not long ago and we are still not 100% in place. It is however playable and i built it into a nice 2 rack case. There is however some shitty pots that needs to be changed. Sometimes i have to bang the case og pull some wires to make work right. Also my home made spring reverb curcuit is pretty noisy. Other than that it´s great. I still need to make a sample & hold curcuit, and connect some more CV inputs and an external powersupply (instead of 2x9V batteries). I can post some samples if i get some time...

There's a place here in Christchurch called the Twisted Hop that is one of only two places in NZ that brew real ales and they are pretty fucking tasty.
