Default Sounddiver patch uploading to Virus A

Hi there,

I've been using sounddiver do upload some patches to my Virus A (also updated the OS to 2.8 with it and runs like a charm).

However,

I can upload patches to the virus A , although the names in the patchbank look like rubbish in the sounddiver panel after reloading/syncing the virus with sounddiver and in the virus's lcd panel the patches don't have a name at all, also not every patch is replaced so some of the patches in the bank have their original names and sounds.
Besides that mulittimbrality doesn't seem to work anymore after uploading patches ( ) and i have to reset the Virus back to factory banks to get rid of the crappy situation.

ANY help is much appreciated!!

Hi Franklin, I have the same problem (with virus Indigo) with dumping as well as uploading patches - it would be sketchy, some would upload but not others - but I only use SoundDiver rarely (am a bit of a midiphobe), so never figured it out. I lost a good few patches in the process though before I realised it was happening.

It's certainly not ideal but I manually re-upload/dump the patches that didn't work the first time. The ones that have uploaded/dumped correctly show up as a different colour in SoundDiver.

It's a pain though.

My laptop has died recently so can't go over it again and work out the problem.

Hey

Sounddiver has always been pretty mysterious. There's always something wrong with it. It's a shame really. I did find a nice light alternitive: Universal Manager, available on http://nilsschneider.de/. Very handy for renaming/saving/uploading and downloading (single as well as multi). For editing you can still use Sounddiver.

Although, if the patches you wanted to upload are SD-patches and not midi, you do have a problem which many people seem to have.
