Default Electro, Bitty, zappy Knocking noises!!Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

well i havnt been on here for a while due to loads of gigs and stuf starting to happen for us!!

Anyhow used to love this place for tips and good read ups etc. But recently Ive been trying produce a certain sound im not sure where alot of big electro/minimal artists are getting it from?

If anyone is familiar with alot of The new electro stuff they should know what i mean!

Its almost like a real bitty, zappy knocking noise in background of alot of tracks! Real Electroy and bitty!! sounds great on big systems!!
Im finding it real hard to do with my synth! Have been using audio files and processing the life out of it!!

Surely my Virus C or Nord can do similar

Anyone clear on this sound im discribing?

All tips and views wellcome

I made an electro demo with my Q+:

Are any of those sounds what you are looking for? I did all of the sound design on my own.

Blippy/zappy stuff is modulation heavy. Loads of downward EG sweeps and stuff.

Ehhh, its not as good as the Q in that department. I have an XTk 30, and I havent really been able to find that electro "sweetspot" which the Q+ has in abundance. If there's one thing that the XTk can do better than the Q/Q+, it's warm and fat pads.

programming glitchy sounds on your synth is one of the hardest ways to get the sounds you want. Use plug-ins. CamelPhat 3 and CamelSpace give great results.

That depends entirely on which synth you have. Synths like the Nord Lead series, for instance, make it more difficult to coax glitchy sounds due to their lack of modulation matrix. On the other hand, synths like the Q, Nord Modular, Andromeda, etc. make creating these types of sounds quite easy.
