Theres a good chance it will run better though, as my old computer had 512mb Ram, while this one has 4Gb and also a way faster processor! I'll let you know how it goes when I'm setup. Thanks again for the reply
i have a powerful computer and still had sync problems with fl8 whether running it through usb or midi and from what i have read on various forums had led me to go and buy cubase 4(with being on vista) lets hope this works!

Hi folks, have a completely different problem now I never had this problem on my crappy PC...Anyway, I downloaded the latest OS and went forward to open it up In FL 8 and got the message "Please connect to Virus to a USB port now", or something along those lines. So I reconnected and still no use, so I then re installed the drivers and that seemed to work OK, but this time when I loaded it up, it said I needed to get the latest firmware Any advice would really be appreciated, I'm sure i'm missing an obvious point here.

Thanks very much in advance!

Yep, do check that, cos finding the .dll that the installer had in fact placed on my hard disk and putting it in the 'right' folder got me running again with Cubase after the OS update

Thanks for replying folks.

I'm a newcomer to hardware synths though, so if you went into more detail I would greatly appreciate it. I've had my Virus since the Summer and haven't used it once! When I turn the computer on, it reads the USB connection fine, but it's when I load it up as a VST in my DAW (FL Studio .

Any more help would be excellent! Thanks very much.

Perhaps I should contact technical support about this. I just can't see any problems, although I'm sure that I've been missing an obvious point.
