Damn man I wish that I had that kind of money to throw around, I would have gotten a new mini-moog.

Tomer, I just had a look at that Kyma and had a listen to a demo. Have you actually played around with it?

That's funny ... I did something similiar.
Took the money I was saving for the TI and went on a spree last week updating my DAW:
New as of last week:
2 x 250Gb SATA drives configured as Raid 0.
Matrox P650
RME HDSP 9652
3 x Behringer ADA8000
Presonus Central Station
Presonus Eureka
2nd UAD-1 with Precision Limiter
Spectrasonics Atmosphere
ImpOscar
Vanguard )these last 2 may well be a replacement for my Virus they are that good).

I saved the best for last:
2 Dell 24in LCDs:

why did you replace a wighted keyboard for a synth action one?
wouldnt it be a better idea to have a good master keyboard and a desktop version like the V synth xt ?
The truth is I never learned to play on a piano; I've always played synth action keyboards. I found that I had to slow the tempo often to play fast parts that could have been recorded at normal tempo with a synth action keyboard. Plus space was the other limiting factor. I like to have all my keyboards in front of me with my monior up front too. I simply don't have enough room for a keyboard synth and a full sized midi controller.

As for the V-Synth XT, well it hasn't been released yet, so I'm also on that waiting list. I just figured out I like NI Kontakt, but a new 2.0 version is being released this month but it still isn't available.... Waiting SUCKS.

Default My wait for the TI just got a little longer

I considered myself patient enough to wait for the release of the TI. I pre-ordered the keyboard version in November and won't be charged until it ships. I decided to cancel my pre-order, because I just purchased the V-synth. After much debate with myself about it, I felt like the missing piece was this "sonic mangler". I really love the idea of being able to sample or import anything and in real time be able to freak it and make it sound like no one else. I already have a Motif ES7(for acoustic and drum sounds) Nordlead 2(for va) Juno 60(for analog) and I play guitar and bass, so... The possibilites are infinite. But it won't be complete without a Virus TI. I used to have a Virus kb and sold it to get the TI back in December. I know it will take some time to get to know the V-synth,so I will sit back and see how the first batch of TI's handle and in a few months who knows. A month ago if someone said that I would buy another synth before the TI came out I woud've laughed. I believe I read a post on this sight about the V-synth and that peaked my curiosity. It's not something that can replace the TI, but certainly will add more originality and satisfy my tweak tooth!
