Virus TI audio input?

Why doesnt the Virus TI install itself as an audio plugin as well as a regular VSTi?

I am using Sonar, if that makes any difference, and usually when a synth has a filter input like the TI does, it also gets installed as an audio plugin.

Any ideas? Is it working any differently in any other hosts?

What im looking to do is send audio out from sonar, into the virus via USB. perhaps this isnt possible.

That is a very good point - all that would need to be done is to add the USB (& USB L, USB R) input into the input options.
