Exclamation Calling all Mac users with Logic 8.0.2 and 3.0.2.01 PB TIMk1 Keyboard

Hi all,

I would like you to perform a basic test for me! (if it's not asking too much of course). Load an empty project, create an instrument track, load the VC, stereo or 3 x stereo, whatever. Pick an ARP patch, loop a few bars.

At this point, you should have a nice solid loop going on with the TI led's blinking away in perfect time with the metronome. Hit stop.

Next, create another instrument track and select it so it is in record mode. Let me know what happens when you start playback.

Cheers!

It was phenomenal. A white Unicorn with a rainbow aura appeared in place of Virus Control. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I'm trippin!

A wee bit stoned today, will try it out tomorrow and let you know

Not sure what that means exactly. Are you saying that the playback of arps will always be erratic and generally out of sync unless you have the TI instrument track selected and in record mode?

no, the arp will stay in time, the tempo LED will be off, more or less, depending on your selected track.

Well I'm glad its not just me that is having major issues with the arps. I am having similar problems with the RTAS version & despite 12 or so revisions of VC3 it is still no better. What is worse is that access seems to be in denial about the whole thing.

Sorry Berni, can't comment on RTAS as I don't use it. I feel your pain though.

Okay, so now we are getting somewhere. Having tweaked my system, 128 & 256 seem to be the optimal for the TI. I switched from your latest beta as it resulted in the TI shutting down with a nice 'wave' type sound coming over my monitors, bit like outrun on my crusty sega console. The only thing is, your official release does it as well. Check the video here:

Question - Why does the tempo LED on the TI fall behind when switching instrument tracks in Logic?

Answer:

Question - Why does the ARP start point become intermittent when switching instrument tracks in Logic?
