Default Accessing Ti Banks/Patches in logic 7.1

does anyone know how to set up in logic (7.1) a way to access the Ti's banks past 14? -- the environment (in logic's "14" limit per multi instrument)? if so, could you lead me thru it?

--there are 14 banks in the envirioment windown, but like 0-126 when you are choosing in the "Arrange page"... i'm not getting it.... do i need to creat a "custom bank message"? -- and if so how?

Logic can only address 14 banks per multi instrument. Therefore, make a copy of your multi instrument in the Logic environment, so now you have two identical Virus instruments. Start deleting the bank definitions on the new copied instrument, which will free you up another potential 14 banks.

It's a bit of a kludge, and you end up with two entries in the instrument list, but it works fine; and from what I've read, it's the accepted method.

each version of the Ti, however, would have to have different midi channels enabled, correct? -- or wouldn't they be addressing the same midi channel 2x?

Enabling the midi channels only really alters what is shown in the instrument list, rather than actually disable them.

It would certainly help tidy things up though, and help prevent you from addressing the same midi channel with two instrument definitions. But you can still change the midi channel in the parameters anyway.

Personally, I keep a pretty close eye on what channels I'm addressing, so haven't bothered to disable any midi channels per instrument.

Until now, that is... thanx for the tip
