Default TI as a soundcard

Hi, I want to take TI desktop to a gig next week. Can anybody tell me if I can rely on using it as a audio interface on a laptop + the midi over usb without virus control, only vti synth? Has anybody tested the audio interface functionality yet?

Yeah, it actually is VERY good.
I was very impressed with it...I own a emu1820m and I prefer the Virus TI drivers! I wasn't expecting such good drivers, especially from a USB device.

I got some additional questions. when using the Virus TI as a Audio card, do I then plug the mixer main out into the virus?

At this moment the mixer is also a usb audio interface that I've pluged other hardware synths onto. So with the virus I got 2 audio interfaces runing at the same time on my computer, which messes up my recording. and when I use analog outs from the virus, the arpeggiator goes out of sync. I'd like to know how others here make their connection with virus TI and other hardware synths together.

Yep, it has two audio inputs and Total Integration, just like the other TIs.

Robbins, if you have a mixer with USB (Mackie Onyx?) then what I would be tempted to do is to not use the Virus USB soundcard at all. You could hook the Virus up to the mixer via cables, and then use the mixer's audio interface with your computer.

Or you could do the opposite... Plumb the mixer's main audio outputs into your TI's audio inputs and use the Virus's USB interface. Remember the TI has 3 x stereo USB outputs now, so you can reserve one pair for your mixer (via the Virus audio inputs), and still have two pairs for your Virus timbres.
