Good plan...i will contact the company you work for about it...
first of all, i don't work in support. second about, this is an unofficial forum, so please don't expect to much from our end.
if i personally have a problem with the tools i use, i get in touch with support. i don't waste time posting on a board without specifics. "me too" replies very likely will make you feel not being alone but not solve your problem. and "me too" doesn't mean that posters talk about the same things.

That is promising. Maybe there is a way to make it work properly then.

Have you tried changing oscillators (e.g. from classic to hypersaw or grain) in the VC plugin? For me that's a simple and 100% reproducable way to make the SNOW go mute (at least on Vista32).

If that works fine for you, maybe I have to tinker with some settings or something.

I will contact Access support anyway.

Does anyone know how much time a fix would take? Pardon my impatience, but I need it for a couple of tracks in the coming weeks.
Otherwise I might have to downgrade

Just downgraded to version 2.7.3 (for me the most stable version so far). The downgrade was quick and painless.

This makes the whole thing even better for me! If I want to experiment with the new OS I can install it, and when it's production time the downgrade back to where I came from is done in a few minutes.

Thanks Access! I really appreciate the generosity and flexibility you offer us.

I think I'm going to do the same. But, what was wrong with 2.7.5? Seemed quite stable to me...

For some reason on 2.7.5 my Snow lost sync from time to time (especially with arps) and - more extreme - even random strange pitch wobbling like someone was accidentally hitting a pitchbend stick.

2.7.3 has been rock solid for me.

same here on dual 2.5 ghz, osx 10.4.11 , logic 8.02 .
on 2.7.5 and 3.0
i also had problems installing the new firmware , the plugin install went ok but somehow firmware didn't install. i had to run virus control center to make it update
i'll try 2.7.3

been lurking since i upgraded to 3.0 and found this site. emailed Access support today:

I emailed:
"upgraded my Virus Snow to the new 3.0 OS and I've noticed some bugs such as sound randomly dropping out (happened a few times when selecting a hypersaw), patches loading, but not working with my project file in Cubase SX3, etc. It seems like ost of the issues are related to the VST plugin interface. Are these known issues/is there a fix coming for this? I really like the new 3.0 Features and would rather not downgrade if I dont have to."

they replied:
"Dear Christof,
We're aware of issues with selecting patches with the TI Snow and the sound then dropping out or the unit even causing a sinewave-like sound when this happens.
Obviously we will fix this in an upcoming version of OS 3."

I asked for a time frame, there is none
