Can't record midi in to Ableton

I have set up Ableton Live as I think. Midi out notes drawn in sequencer trigger live and I can hear audio through headphones.
Although I can see the yellow LED top right hand corner in Live indicating midi in when I am pressing the keys, Live does not record anything, it seems it is not seeing the midi in.

Hi an welcome to the forum! Are you new to Ableton or this is a Virus and Ableton issue? If you're new you should arm the track (click the button with the dot under your track's number) in order to record midi. Before that you should turn on your audio card into preferences and choose it as input in the track you want to record into. Hope it helps.

Midi preferences in Ableton click "track" for recording performances in a midi track and "remote" to use midi input for recording and controlling Lives features for each midi input you want.
