Default My romance with the TI heated up by turning off VC.

:P Now that I tossed my dream of using VC on stage out the window I feel as though I am a new man. It's like trying to run a marathon with a thousand pounds of sardines tied to your legs. I have a live set to play this Saturday and I've been wasting sooo much time on VC. This weekend I got more done in one afternoon than all last week. Has anyone else felt this way? Am I wussing out? I love my TI without any reservation right now. No crashes, no stuck notes, no uneven arps... only unbridaled psychedelia.

Yeah - it makes a hell of a difference when you use it as a pure synth.

I tend to use it with Virus Control - just because I like to browse all the patches using the browse interface.

But it feels meatier somehow when used as a normal synth!

The same here. I'm currently using VC just for browsing throut the banks and tweaking experiments.

Switching to midi mode with RM1x and Cubase as sequencers was a fantastic relief.

How was TI's live performance?

What sequencer did you use onstage?

Three cheers for, "See ya' later Virus as a plugin"... It's great for patch management... that's about it. Maybe someday we'll be glad we paid so much for our synths. I guess it's an investment in our futures. I use Abelton on stage. Midi loops triggered via keyboard controller. Then comped drum loops and samples are played too. I love the freakin' weekend. I wish we were all paid to make music at home all the time... right.
