VC on different machines

Can someone tell me if i will have any compatability problems if i have VC on two different machines on two different platforms? ie. I have been using my virus ti kb on my desktop running XP and Cubase SX3 and i still want to use it there. But I also want to use the kb with my recently purchased laptop with vista and ableton live 7 (and soon live .

Do i need to sync anything? or will there be a syncing issue? What do I need to know?

I've used it on my laptop and desktop and haven't had any trouble with it. Only thing is if you save patches in one VC obviously they won't show up in the other unless you save them to the virus itself.
