when it says "2.5.1.02" it certainly didn't update fine. you want to install version 2.7.1.0 and only if it says that in the boot-up screen, the update was successful.
boot the virus while holding the EXIT key and use Virus Control Center (which can be found within the Access folder in applications) to update the firmware or get in touch with access support.

This new update has 100% solved my main problem with my Snow of getting stuck midi notes as well as only initializing ONCE per macbook bootup. If I deleted the track that the "virus ti snow" vsti was located in, I couldn't restart the Snow plug in until I rebooted my entire system, (not just Ableton Live... I had to restart my macbook or even in some cases shut down and re-boot). It would get stuck halfway through initializing. This new update cures this probem.

I even considered getting rid of my Snow due to this problem as it had the nasty potential to destroy a live set entirely. Witht his new update, my Snow isn't going anywhere.

Thanks Joerg and all at Access for listening. I told you I was patient and knew this was still a beta release!
