I am starting to wonder two things : either there is a major flaud in the new virus TI or it's so f***ing good that they just want to blow people away at namm. But It's true they should make some public announcement soon, "cause I am starting to consider buying something else instead. We are not talKing $200 equipment here ....c'mon ACCess, speak up, we are not industrial spyes...we are paying customers !!!
No matter how you turn it, that's what they are waiting for. Namm is more important than us ....sad but true....
I have been waiting for Reason 3.0 as well since November, they did post mp3 tough (much needed since Reason sounds phatter now and creating complex modular patches will be a breeze ).

i agree with blay and soundsetcetc. i respect any company that wants to insure that when shipped, its a top notch working product. but announcing release in december, then basically going underground for two/three months with no feedback to those who allready ordered it, thats disrespectful. regardless of how you see it.

I believe it was late dec that marc (? I think?) stated they had entered beta testing. Beta testing can mean a lot of different things depending on the company, but I'd be surprised if there are many developers with a beta cycle less than a month, and I suspect 2 or 2.5 is more common.
Access has years of experience developing hardware synths, but this product is something new -- developing for windows requires a whole new set of skills and a lot more testing, since it's such a heterogenous environment. It's understandable that they would have a harder time predicting how long it's going to take. Of course I don't know any of the details, but if they're like a typical software house they'll probably feel like they're shipping 'any day now' for the last month or two of development, and wouldn't it get annoying to here 'tomorrow' for weeks on end?

Eh, look at me, totally windows-centric. They're doing mac, too, so two new large skills plus two products that have to be released simultaneously.

Yeah that's what I'm kinda afraid of.
They rock in the hardware market, but I just hope the vst interface will be just as good and most importantly, STABLE(with automations, every host, etc.)
time will tell!
