Default Virus TI, control buttons sending midi messages?

Hello everyone.

I'm just wondering if there is some setting on the Virus TI which makes the buttons send midi messages via the midi out?

Thanks!

Yes, but either midi via USB or direct connection to the midi ports is fine with me.

I'd love to know why Access decided not to include the buttons in remote mode, they would be very useful for triggering tracks to play in ableton etc.

if memory serves me correctly (this from the 1.0x days), you have to choose either usb or midi port --> you can use both at the same time. So in your case, i believe if you unplug your usb cable, you should be able to immediately start using your midi ports to send and receive midi from your daw.
