Default Input noise

Yo Infekted crew.

When input mode is active Cubase picks up a constant, distorted noise registering around minus 69.6Db. Been exchanging emails with support for months, the current theory is that this is just the noise floor of the Virus TI (Snow).

Has anyone else encountered this when using their TI's inputs?

Would really appreciate if someone could check if theirs does this too, especially if you're running Cubase.

If this is just the inherent noise floor of a TI device, how do you cope with running sounds through the Virus? Minus 70Db is pretty high if you're of the drum and bass school of thought... Bouncing sounds and running them through the TI's filters several times over causes a marked decrease in quality.

Cheers, hope I've posted in the right section.

Hi
This post is dated six years ago, but I'm interested in this thread...
Does this issue happen with or without plugging a jack?
Have everyone got the same problem??
Thank you!

I've only heard the noise when there was NO jack plugged in. Definitely NOT the noise floor of the Snow!
