Default Virus Snow MIDI Map setup

just got a Snow and I'm mapping the parameters to a Novation Sl 37.

a bit confused as to how to interpret what I'm seeing on my MIDI monitor (pic below) and was wondering if someone could help me out.

I was initially using this link to map the CC's but there were a lot of functions missing that i'd like mapped like LF03 Rate for example.

http://elektron-users.com/index2.php...=520&Itemid=30

shown here are my readings from twiddling the corresponding knobs.
I already mapped Filt1 and FiltRes though what I see on Bome's MM does not correspond to what I got from the link above.

when I twiddle LFO3 the info Bome's MM receives is even more confusing because it's not CC.

how do I interpret these numbers so I can map non CC controls to my controller?

here is a pic of my Mapping software:

Since you have a Remote SL, is there a reason you wouldn't just use Automap to wrap Virus Control?

Maybe this old thread of mine will help you?

http://infekted.org/virus/showthread.php?t=30856

I used an SL37 when I had my snow.

I am back though... just got a ti2 polar...waiting on it now

BTW... The messages you are looking at in the screenshot are sysex controls. Unfortunately, not all virus controls are mapped as CC. Most are, but some you will need to control via sysex. Generally speaking, manufacturers use sysex messages for controls that might be synth specific, while more common controls (e.g. mod wheel, pb, cutoff, resonance) are ubiquitous and have assigned cc numbers as a result.

You are looking at several bytes at once so for instance in the message:

F0 xx yy zz DV F7

xx, yy, and zz might represent the combination of bytes to refer to a particular control. DV is the byte that changes or the value that is sent to the synth. In your own screenshot, ignore the sysex bytes (F0,F7) . The byte that changes is the least significant byte in the message (again, ignoring sysex encoding bytes).

I found a ton of these a while ago and mapped them. I will post them here for you.

If you don't have any clue what i'm talking about, check this guide. It is a good introduction to sysex. May also want to have a hex calculator handy.
