Multis, sequencer, etc. tutorials?

For the life of me I cannot find a cogent explanation of how these work, or examples to download. I have looked through the manuals, the tutorials. Yes I know how to edit the multis, but things like why multi doesn't work in virus control, or how to manipulate sequences when NOT in virus control, are not obvious. Also, why do there seem to be no multis or sequences to download from others, only patches? Maybe I just am not finding the right discussions, videos, etc but I have been searching and reading and not finding easy answers.
So does anyone know where exists a step by step tutorial on these things? Or it is just trial and error?
Thanks for you help, even being new the virus is by far the most friendly to program synth I have ever had.
