Default Unsolved - TI desktop 2.7.3 update troobleshooting

Hello everyone,

I've been searching everywhere before posting, and could't find any solution so far. Please be gentle as I'm new to both forums and Virus , sorry if I misunderstood something about posting rules.

I have a Virus Ti desktop since a few months now, connected through USB to a black macbook w/ Logic Studio 8. All was working perfectly when I bought it and updated it to OS 2.7.2. I considered myself lucky when I read the various Logic users troubles...

I've tried to update to 2.7.3 following exactly the procedure. What happened is very strange, The update from the Virus Control Center went ok, except when it cames to the"Firmware update part" : the Virus Control Center could "find" the virus attached but when trying to "talk" to the virus for the final step of upgrade, the progress bar always stays frozen at 88%.

So far, I've tried a lot of things like trying to re-install a previous os, re-perform the 2.7.3 update, reset the virus and re-install OS 2.7.3... The progress bar always stays frozen at 88%, when it comes to the communication part between computer and virus...

I've wrote to Access support, have a ticket number and tried what I've been told : unplug all cables from/to Virus, wait 30-60 sec. then plug the power cable back while holding down the exit button, to force Virus into update mode, and then finish the update process through the Virus Control Center. Didn't work.

Then I've been adviced to uninstall the whole software suite on my computer (which I did without erasing the user data), reboot the laptop, repair permissions, then re-install Sofware suite and perform OS 2.7.3 update. Didn't work, still froze at 88%...

now, I'm curently living in Brazil and I'm seriously wondering if the next step is necessary a technical appointment with an official access dealer/technician, in europe or anywhere esle ?

I'm so despered I even tried to perform the Os install from a pc, didn't work though...If anyone has a clue or been through similar problems, I would be eternally thankful, and anyway, thanks for what you're doing here.
