Default NOOB quest (continued): Virus TI VST & Ableton - Keyboard disabled & no MIDI data

Sorry to bother again - but reference guides I have found so far only sccratch the surface of everything.
I am not getting that TI VST thing at all .... Ok, its great for sound programming - But it seems to disable MIDI note sending and is forcing me to use a different keyboard than the built in one.

DO I realy have to use a different keyboard as a Master while using the TI VST within Ableton ?????
  • Virus TI VST enabled within Ableton - disables the Keyboard by default
-> How can that default behavior be changed (I know I can enable the Keyboard - but it seems not to be advised - but does not explain why)
  • Virus TI VST enabled within Ableton- disables MIDI notes sent to Ableton from the keyboard (Even if enabled post VST Activation - using the edit/config menu)
-> how can that be enabled ?

Do you have the TI set up in the Ableton MIDI preferences?

yes,
I have found out so far, that the TI mode does indeed disable the keyboard, and the keyboards ability to send midi data.

I found a trace of a possibility to enable both within the settings - but have yet to try it out.

If successful My quest conti ues, as I then would like to make his setting a default behaviour whenever TI mode is enabled.

Any hints on this ?
