Default Difference between TI2 Polar and Keyboard Keybeds

I have been looking for this info on the 2 model's keybed kind but couldn't find one.Are they both semi-weighted?

Thanks

Polar has lovely Synth action keys, not as good as on my Trinity, but i can't even play them, so it doesn't bother me at all! (^_^)

Me either can play a piano... Not very necessary for sound desing

I use a m-audio ozonic to play the virus. I have a korg 3R and must say that the keys have more expresive sensitivity... It depends on what your personal taste is... If you buy a polar... you are stuck with the keys... if you have a desktop you can put whatever you want to it.

Yep, it's true, using the desktop allows you to get your own keys. However, for me, i can hardly play as it is, so the keys are good enough!

Although, saying that, i can't really cope with the rubber keys on the Korg EMX-1! Grrr (>_<) It's like playing on a Spectrum!! (^_^)

I think the Polar keybed is not bad... it took a lot of time to get used to though. It really depends on your patch and the way you program it as well. I own a Korg M3 and I think its the nicest semi weighted keybed I have played so far.

the polar keybed is unusual. I have come to really like it for certain kinds of playing. the aftertouch has a long range of motion. this means that if you play a key hard or push on it after it has been fully depressed, it will jump into the aftertouch region. this gives pretty good feedback for aftertouch, but it also protects the keyboard a lot from pounding. (shouldn't pound but sometimes get carried away ) it's a completely different animal from a conventional weighted keyboard with a hard stop at the bottom of the key throw.
